Papatoetoe High School

Secondary school in Auckland, New Zealand

Papatoetoe High School welcomes the opportunity to enrol long-term students who are keen to gain a New Zealand educational experience and secondary school qualifications. PHS is a multi-cultural, co-educational state secondary school with over 1750 students. We are proud of our rich culture, as well as the family atmosphere and the warmth of our people, whether its students, staff or the community. Sincerity, integrity, celebrating diversity and service to others are all things that the PHS learning community value and honour.

PHS has three behavioural expectations of our learners: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be a Learner. International students have access to our comprehensive curriculum and are encouraged to integrate into all aspects of school life, the same as our domestic students. We offer trades based courses, such as construction and mechanical engineering, as well as full academic programmes. We boast an award winning music department and a strong art department, where talents are nurtured and developed. ESOL support can be structured to individual learning needs, however, we expect at least an intermediate level of English from our applicants.

Pastoral support is our strength and we aim to ensure that all our students feel welcome, accepted and part of our school family.

Papatoetoe High School is located in Manukau City, approx. 20km from the Auckland CBD and 9km from the International Airport. Public transport is readily accessible and the local area has a Westfield shopping mall, Rainbows End Theme Park, Wero White Water Rafting Park, and free community swimming pool.
