The school is located in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand. Hawke’s Bay recently became the first wine region in New Zealand (and only the 12th in the world) to be given the title of a Great Wine Capital.

Founded in 1970, Taradale High School has become one of the leading schools in the beautiful Hawke's Bay region. It offers a well-rounded education to more than 1000 students from Years 9-13.
